Elizabeth Churchill


Beth is a seasoned sustainability strategy consultant. She has experience in facilitating, planning, development, and operations of sustainability in communities through the built environment.

In this role, she draws upon her experience, to support community leaders, business owners, and executives in facilitating sustainability business planning strategies from assessment to implementation. Her clients include healthcare executives, developers, small business owners, and not-for-profit leaders. Beth is valued as a leader, self-starter, facilitator, mentor, multi-disciplinary problem solver, project manager, relationship builder, and change agent.

Beth’s expertise provides clients with a custom experience based on a relationship of trust and transparency. She brings a systems thinking approach with a strong project management toolkit and is committed to guiding organizations towards responsible stewardship and triple bottom line benefits. She performs easily between facilitating vision and strategy to execution and follow-through. Savvy in a myriad of sustainability frameworks, Beth helps to strengthen organizations in four key areas; a) discovery and training, b) assessment and evaluation c) planning, and d) communication.

She currently makes her home in Madison, Wisconsin, where she surrounds herself with clean air, quality water, black soil, natural rain cycles, and local food sources. Active in local, regional, national, and global communities, she has an insatiable appetite to help others make the change they want to see in the world. A systems thinker, she is always learning from nature.

Current client relationships include:

Comprehensive Sustainability Education & Advocacy Plan. Currently authoring a comprehensive sustainability education and advocacy plan and implementation strategy to support the launch of Facey Medical Group’s flagship LEED Silver Medical Office Building in Mission Hills, CA. Occupancy scheduled for May of 2012.

Content Expertise and Research in local, state, regional, and national climate action organizations. Through a partnering with ZEBRADOG Studios, sustainability expertise was provided to support ZEBRADOG’s engagement on a successful new naming and branding identity campaign with the Wisconsin Climate Coalition Action Initiative (WCCAI).

Construction Waste Accreditation Training. Co-facilitate a training program with WasteCap Resource Solutions, a nationally recognized accredited program in construction waste recycling certified by the United States Green Building Council.

Community Service. Currently serves on Next Generation Consulting’s Kitchen Cabinet, Willy Street Coop’s Sustainability Committee, and the United States Green Building Council’s-Wisconsin Chapter-Green Schools K12 Committee. She is currently serving as Community Fellow for the Edgewood College Sustainability Leadership Graduate Certificate program.

Specialties include. Sustainability expertise, corporate social responsibility reporting, stakeholder facilitation, sustainability reporting, transparency, frameworks, and metrics.
